Sextant

Sextant

One of the instruments used to measure the angle between any two substances is sextant. The instrument can also measure the distance of objects in the sky to the horizon. It consists of six sextant parts which are evaluated within the scope of astronomical instruments. The first of these parts is the large mirror. It is placed in the center of the spring and is adjustable. The small mirror section is placed perpendicular to the sextant plane. Half has a bandage. The telescope is the part that allows the reflection of the celestial object extended to the small mirror to be shown on a straight line. The place where all these parts are placed is known as the metallic frame. The extended arm moves in the center of the arc and reduces the reflection of the celestial body to the horizon. Thanks to the combination of all these parts, the latitude of the places on the earth can also be determined.
