Greece was immediately involved in the Second World War when Italy attacked itself. In a few months, famine manifested itself. There was a famine problem in Turkey at that time. Still, the government hired a dry cargo ship to help its neighbor. 

This ship, which was built in 1883, was a documentary called Salvation: Peace-Bearing Ferry. Documentary of this ferry, which is loved by the people of Greece even today, is the result of one and a half years of work. While the Liberation Ferry was sent to the expedition, the Red Crescent flags were drawn all over it. Thousands of farewell from the Karaköy pier, which set off with the aid of two thousand tons of food aid collected. The ferry reached the port of Piraeus. Here, Turkish and Greek screams of joy greeted him. Delivering food and medicine support, the Kurtuluş Ferry made four more expeditions. 

He took food aids as a burden to make one of the Liberation Ferry voyages. However, there was a big storm on the Marmara coast. As a result of a four-hour struggle, the crew left the ship sitting on the rocks sadly. And the steamer sank. Under the management of Erhan Cerrahoğlu, a 15-person Demo Production team shot Kurtuluş: Peace-Carrying Ferry. A series of interviews with witnesses of the period also appeared in this documentary. Her voice was made by Çetin Tekindor. Their music is produced by Derya Köroğlu. Three-dimensional works of the photographs for the documentary were made. Some of the work has been done in Greece.
