Kusadasi Cruise Port
The tourism type that is preferred by those who appeal to middle and upper-income groups and who want to engage in activities other than classical coastal tourism is cruise tourism. This type of tourism is included in marine and ship tourism. Designed to meet all the entertainment needs of a passenger, cruise ships offer a high level of safety and comfort. These four or five-star ships offer space for many activities, including bar and restaurant services, swimming pools, relaxation and gyms, theaters, cinemas, and libraries. Because of these areas, it is also known as “floating city” or “water hotel”. Cruise ships have the power to transport thousands of people to one port at a time. In other words, tourism revenues will increase in cities with cruise ports. Thanks to the characteristics of the ports of Kusadasi, it is suitable for making money from this area. Efforts are underway to increase the contribution of cruise tourism to our country, including tourists belonging to an average of ten million high-income groups in a year. The most important of these activities are promotional activities. It is among the 2020 tourism plans to revive cruise ports with various projects and turn them into a usable port.
